Gift cards

A gift-cards pipeline mirrors the gift cards issued by your gift-card provider onto your storefront, so they can be redeemed at the checkout.

It has two tabs: Issued, the list of cards, and GiveX issues, the problems worth your attention.

Issued

The Issued tab lists the cards issued for this pipeline. In the page’s own words: “For security only the last four characters of each code are shown” — so codes appear as ••••4951.

There is no screenshot of this tab. It includes a Recipient column holding personal names, and this manual does not publish customer contact details.

Each row shows the masked Code, the Amount it was issued for, its current Balance, its Status, the Recipient, the Source order it was bought on, the Shopify card it was mirrored to, and the date it was Issued.

Two statuses appear here:

Status	What it means
Active	Mirrored onto your storefront and ready to redeem.
Registered (pending mirror)	Your provider has issued the card, but it has not reached your storefront yet.

A card sitting in Registered (pending mirror) cannot be redeemed at your checkout yet. If it stays that way, look at the GiveX issues tab.

The Shopify card value links to that gift card in your Shopify admin, which is the quickest way to confirm a balance a customer is querying.

GiveX issues

Headed GiveX commit issues, this tab lists the orders where something went wrong between your storefront and your gift-card provider.

Column	What it tells you
Order #	The order the gift card was bought on.
Status	Failed, or in progress.
Reason	Why it did not complete.
Failures	How many attempts have failed.

Filter with All issues, Failed or In progress. Retry on a row tries that order again, and Resync failed retries the failed ones together.

This is the tab to check when a customer says a gift card they bought does not work. An order listed here means the card was paid for but never fully registered, so it will not redeem until the issue is cleared.
